The PRISM Center believes in offering these confidential services in professional office settings, and in the value of having a team of experienced and well- trained psychotherapists who practice from a variety of treatment orientations.
We work with Young Adults from the ages of 17 to 30, as well as adults in the 30 to 70 age range. Consultations begin with a relaxed intake session where we review life history, issues of concern, treatment history, counseling preferences, treatment goals, etc.
Our psychotherapists practice various treatment approaches, usually in a unique combination that best fits the issues and needs of the individual, couple, or family. Our primary therapeutic modalities include:
The PRISM Center offers individual psychotherapy services to Young Adults (ages 17 to 30), adults, and senior citizens, primarily in conjunction with our group services, but not in all cases. Occasionally, we work with teenagers at our Bellaire location, but often have to refer them out due to the demands for our adult services. (Our Cypress location does routinely work with adolescents and their families.) We utilize a variety of treatment approaches (listed above). At times, we can offer evening or Saturday appointments to meet client needs – but those hours are very limited.
The PRISM Center offers marital and couples therapies at both our Bellaire and Cypress locations. We work hard to help couples establish positive communication skills, resolve interpersonal conflicts, manage emotion-related difficulties, and foster healthier relationships in general. Our therapists help couples identify and address the difficult issues that are standing in the way of having the strong, loving relationships they desire.
Conflicts among family members can be complex and emotionally challenging. If recent life changes, parenting issues, emotional disorders, or behavioral problems are straining relationships within your family, The PRISM Center can help.
We use a wide variety of family therapy techniques such as family systems assessment and modification, family education and support, and improvement of boundaries and communication skills. Many of our family therapy services are in conjunction with our DBT and IOP clients; however, we do have some openings for those not involved in those services.
If you or your family is struggling, let The PRISM Center help. Call today for more information or to schedule an appointment.
