We offer an Adolescent Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Training Group at our Bellaire office. This group meets 2 hours per week and is designed for 13 to 17 year olds who are struggling with interpersonal issues, anxiety/panic, depression, intense emotions and/or difficulties in coping and functioning.
Prior to each adolescent entering our DBT Skills Training Program, an assessment/evaluation will be conducted by a member of our clinical team. This initial appointment consists of a structured history, exploration of current symptoms, and orientation to our program.
At that time, we will begin to work with the client and/or family members to formulate the adolescent's treatment goals. Clients will receive skills handouts along with assistance in organizing those in a program binder.
Therapists are available for adolescent and family therapy, if requested.
Our Skills Training Program meets on Tuesdays from 4:30pm-6:30pm for approximately 24 weeks.
Please call us for further information or to set up an evaluation.
