Our psychotherapists have had extensive undergraduate and graduate academic training, post-graduate internships, continuing education and work experience. We are dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art services and seek consultation when needed for particularly difficult symptoms or illnesses.

COMMITMENT TO LEARNING

Commitment to learning, teaching and applying a wide variety of concrete coping skills and strategies to address issues such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and a variety of life stressors

FOCUS ON HERE-AND-NOW

Focus on here-and-now coping to feel better and to function more effectively. We are dedicated to helping clients and family members feel better, function more effectively, improve their relationships, and create more fulfilling lives. Additionally, we work with clients, as needed, to explore past history, past traumas and losses, and self-defeating patterns of behavior.

MULTI-MODAL INTERVENTIONS

We believe in multiple types of interventions that can be helpful in treatment: “talk” therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), family therapy, psycho-education, mindfulness and relaxation training, sand tray and art therapy, career coaching and assessment, and home practice exercises.

GROUP THERAPY

Most of our clients find that being part of a small group experience is extremely beneficial. Our groups offer a supportive social context, yet are small enough for clients to receive individual attention to specific needs. In addition, group therapy can be more affordable than individual psychotherapy.

ADULT MENTAL HEALTH INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAMS (IOP) AND DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT)

These are two treatment modalities that we find incredibly helpful for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, interpersonal difficulties, etc. IOP can be an effective alternative to hospitalization or an aftercare treatment following residential treatment. DBT can break patterns of chronic suffering.

CLOSE COLLABORATION IN CARE

We will work with your psychiatrist, external psychotherapist, college counselor, or EAP provided we have a signed consent from you to release information. We also value collaborating with physicians, addiction professionals, and with premier residential facilities for young adults and older adults across the nation. We value linkages with 12 Step programs, free community support groups, religious institutions, colleges and universities, etc.

In summary, our treatment team is a group of positive, creative, knowledgeable, and experienced psychotherapists who are dedicated to your clinical care and well- being. We value open, honest, and collaborative relationships. We encourage you to ask questions, share your preferences and concerns regarding treatment, and tell us of your struggles, history, hopes, and goals. We want to understand your “story” and to address the issues with which you want assistance.
